| Tips on how to
submit your web site properly :)
The # 1 thing that people are doing to promote their website is "URL Submissions". There are hundreds of companies out there that will submit your web page to hundreds of sites on the web. Now there are two major problems with this function. The first problem is that everyone is doing it. Everyone wants to be in the top ten of the search engines. There are over 300,000,000 web pages and not every one can be listed in the top ten. The second problem is the fact that everyone is learning the wrong way of web page submissions. Here is a solution for web page promotion. Dont make multiples and multiples of web pages with different web page names. You know the page I am talking about. People make these pages that are all identical. They call each page a different file name such as index1.htm, index2.htm, index3.htm and so on. WARNING: This will get you banned from most search engines! This might work on FFA (Free For ALL) sites but not with the major pages. Instead, make a page and work on promoting that page properly. Selecting an improper category or using improper keywords in your META tags will only have your site listed in the most improper location. You want to target your viewers. Use only keywords and categories that pertain to you web page. Make sure that you DO NOT use adult related keywords if your site has nothing to do with adult material. Also make sure that 70% of the keywords that are in your META tags are also in the body of your webpage. Do not use repeating keywords in your page this will only harm your ratings on the major search engines. And last but not least, submitting your web page every day will not get you listed any better. Fact: most search engines will ban your URL if you submit it too often. Submitting your site once a week or two is reasonable. G-Force |
